Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
Series: Throne of Glass #3
Publisher: Bloomsbury
Publication Date: September 2, 2014
add to goodreads
Lost and broken, Celaena Sardothien’s only thought is to avenge the savage death of her dearest friend: as the King of Adarlan’s Assassin, she is bound to serve this tyrant, but he will pay for what he did. Any hope Celaena has of destroying the king lies in answers to be found in Wendlyn. Sacrificing his future, Chaol, the Captain of the King’s Guard, has sent Celaena there to protect her, but her darkest demons lay in that same place. If she can overcome them, she will be Adarlan’s biggest threat – and his own toughest enemy. While Celaena learns of her true destiny, and the eyes of Erilea are on Wendlyn, a brutal and beastly force is preparing to take to the skies. Will Celaena find the strength not only to win her own battles, but to fight a war that could pit her loyalties to her own people against those she has grown to love?
My raving reviews for The assassin's blade, Throne of glass and Crown of midnight.

If you haven’t started this series yet, I have made you an info graphic chart so you can decide if this story is something for you! (This is my first time attempting to make such a thing)

Chart
Made on: https://magic.piktochart.com.

I think it’s save to say that you HAVE to read this series. You have to meet Chaol, so you can be part of my team. There are hints of magic and Celaena is a wonderful character. If you really aren’t sure about the book, I recommend checking out the novella’s bundled in ‘The assassin’s blade” where you can read moments from Celeana’s past. The stories are heart-breaking and provide a good background story.

To make sure everyone is able to read this series, we are offering a giveaway (open INTERNATIONALLY):

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Have you read the series? If so, what is your team? (I'm definitely Team Celaena, but I adore Chaol too!) If not, are you persuaded to get started by now?

  2. I really want to read Throne of Glass. I have lately been into assassin kind of stories and I have heard really REALLY good things about this series. So I'm not sure why I still haven't read it. It kind of bothers me.

I really love the chart, but I did kind of answer yes on all of them. So this would be a great reason to read the series.

  4. TEAM CELAENA! She's such an amazing character. So badass and so well developed. And I totally agree, she has very realistic flaws- they're probably make her most interesting to read about :D

  14. This is such a fabulous series, and I am Team Chaolaena because those two together are definitely my OTP of the Throne of Glass series.

I love your little graphic - it is so cute :D And yes, I think pretty much everyone should read this series because it has something for everyone! Action, magic, romance - there's nothing more to ask for.

Except that fabulous tote, which torments me with its perfection.

  17. My copy of Heir Of Fire still hasn't arrived! and it makes me want to curl up and cry! I have so much love for this series... So yeah, bol.com needs to hurry up and get me my copy or I'll go all angry book nerd on their asses! (I am way too nice for that, but it certainly feels good to say haha)

Love the graphic! It's cute and a truth universally acknowledged ;)

  18. I'm actually reading the first one. Bought and started it the other day when I saw it was .99 on Amazon for Kindle. I'm not far in yet but I'm liking it! =)

  19. I've downloaded the first book from amazon but the book blogosphere simply will not shut up about this series, so I've moved it to the top of my TBR despite my personal disdain for starting series that aren't yet finished (and I'll blame GRRM for that)! That said, I still haven't even started, since I've been all distracted with that pesky "real world" everyone always complains about.

  20. AHHH I finished Heir of Fire the other day and am still realing from it! I loved it so incredibly much! Like CRAZY MUCH! I love Chaoleana and that is my ultimate OTP for life!

  21. hahaha I LOVE THIS!!! I am definitely Team Chaol! Even after Heir of Fire, we see a completely different side of him :) Love the graphic, it's the best! There is no reason not to read this series. Ohh, can't wait for my stop! Salute to you, fellow Thirteen member :D

  22. Oh, Oh I seriously love this series. HAPPINESS. I still haven't read Heir of Fire yet, but I have trouble reading really big books on kindle and I REALLY want to own this one. I hope my bookshop has it by now. SQUEEE. Although I am nervous, because my ship better not sink is all I can say. XD

  23. This series is beyond amazing! HOW MUCH DID HEIR OF FIRE MESS WITH YOUR FEELS? It totally killed me

  24. I have not yet started this series, but I definitely believe that I need to start on it. I feel like it has gone from strength to strength and for that reason I think that I will really enjoy it, especially the assassin, kick-ass female lead.

  25. I have heard this series is really good, I need to check it out!

  26. I actually already own Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight, and I have Heir of Fire as an e-ARC on my Kobo, but print copies would be great. Good luck everyone!

  27. Everyone raves so much about these books! I need to figure out what the appeal is and join along on this bandwagon!! I feel so out of the loop.

  28. I have started the series, but I'm behind right now. I loved the first 4 prequel novellas (I read them before they were bundled up in The Assassin's Blade, and I adored them, and they totally broke my heart, and made me love Celeana even more), and I read Throne of Glass before them, and I was already hooked, but they only got me into it even more. So, no need to convince me to read the series, but if I hadn't, your post definitely would've convinced me. It's awesome! Also, I really liked Chaol as a character (ok, I kinda loved him). I still need to get & read Crown of Midnight though...

Thanks for the amazing giveaway! The winner will be one lucky reader!

  30. I'd like to read this series because of several reasons;

    - The heroine is an assassin and, who doesn't love a strong protagonist?

    - The story line of the first book sounds intriguing and action-packed. It also includes romance which...for me, is always nice to read about ;) ;)

    - There are a lot of good reviews about it, and a lot of my friends recommend reading the series.

    - I'm in need of a good book - especially one that I won't have to wait an eternity for the sequel, let alone the third book :)

    - I like all the covers :3

Tbh, Idk why I haven't read this series already...but I need to.

Thanks for this awesome giveaway! :D x

  31. I haven't read Crown of Midnight yet! I still need to buy Heir of Fire but I'm on a book buying ban, and I want to read them back to back. I can't decide what team I'm on, one minute I'm Team Chaol and the next Team Dorian!

    Thanks for the giveaway Mel!!
